Starbucks Day!

One good thing about therapy day is that I treat myself to a Starbuck's Venti Skinny Vanilla Latte with one Splendia (extra shot of Vanilla). For some reason, this little treat relaxes me and it really amazes me how when I am relaxed I am able to talk, vent, cry. So, twice a month I look forward to my "treat".

It's a shame that alot of us can't look at our faith the same way. We wake up each morning and go about our business and then eventually we think "oh yeah" thanks God. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we got up every morning and got excited about having our Latte with God? Our "treat" of therapy with our Lord.

  1. Oh what conviction that is? How true however that we look forward to Fridays, so it becomes the ending of our work week and the fun begins after work ends. I agree, we all need to be more excited about the potential in all of us to get excited about spending time with God today!

  2. As a fellow Starbucks lover, this post hit me where it hurts! A very good point, and one I'll surely remember in the morning.

  3. I'm not a starbucks person but know that feeling from when I'm able to run in the woods. There alone - the freedom, the relaxation, and where my faith becomes alive. Love that you have 'the treat'. We all need that. have a great weekend.

  4. I love it! I have a friend in California with a ministry called Quiet Time Ministries. Catherine has "Breakfast with the LORD" ... she calls it ... one way she starts her morning with God.
    Thank you for the reminder.
May your weekend be a blessing, ~ linda

  8. This is so true, we just rush into our day, basically worrying, and more worrying. Maybe we should just sit down have a cuppa and discuss how we would like to handle the rest of the day. Bless you.
